This 2LP set features the original Ben Folds Five album on LP 1, including Jackson Cannery, Philosophy, and Underground, plus expanded liner notes and photos. LP2 unveils the “Shelved First Attempt,” a previously unreleased early version of the album recently rediscovered by Ben Folds on digital audio tape in his personal archives. Produced by Dave Stiff Johnson, the bonus LP includes early alternate versions of seven album tracks, an early performance of Evaporated, and three rare outtakes: Emaline, Dick Holster, and Eddie Walker.
