It took Claudio Abbado and the Boston Symphony Orchestra two sessions in February 1970, and then the recorded team’s recording was at the ready. Their interpretation of Debussy’s Trois nocturnes, Ravel’s suite Daphnis et Chlo, and his Pavane pour une infante dfunte soon became classics.

Released on 180g vinyl records and in a deluxe gatefold edition with original covers and lyrics, the copies of this series are limited and numbered. They are accompanied by additional photos and facsimiles of the recording logs and tape boxes, plus an article, which explains the exact technical background.
