With their first new album in nearly two decades, alt-metal shape-shifters Faith No More proved they hadnt lost a musical step or their sense of humor. Sol Invictus will probably always be associated with lead single Motherfucker which sees vocal contortionist Mike Patton uttering the eternal phrase, Get the motherfucker on the phone but thats just one of many highlights. The metallic cheerleader-isms of Superhero, spaghetti western twang of Cone Of Shame and manic piano ballad Sunny Side Up are also unmissable. J. BENNETT
