Featuring production by DeVante Swing and Al B. Sure!, the record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart and achieved RIAA multi-platinum success. Honoring the records 35th anniversary, it has been reissued on a standard black 2LP vinyl, featuring five bonus tracks including Come And Talk To Me – Radio Remix” & “Forever My Lady – Live From Uptown MTV Unplugged/1993.
