Omen were a criminally overlooked Los Angeles trad-metal outfit spearheaded by guitarist Kenny Powell following his split with Savage Grace. The groups second album, 1985s Warning of Danger, saw Omen bucking prevailing L.A. metal trends glam on one side, and thrash on the other via epic Maiden-esque riffery and equally epic lyrics that wax poetic on classic trad topics, from swords & sorcery to sci-fi dystopia.
