Aussie metalcore crew Parkway Drive had their commercial breakthrough with 2010s Deep Blue, but their creative turning point came three years before. That was when they reunited with producer and Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, who had worked with them on their 2005 debut, Killing With a Smile, to make follow-up Horizons. The result is bigger, better and more bruising, finding a finely tuned balance between melody and madness epitomized by concussive single Boneyards and epic fan favorite Carrion.
