Though the band had toned down some the screamiest tendencies of their early emo-core explosions, Venetian Blinds is an adrenaline-loaded rip that bridges the gap between distortion-dimed indie rock and their heavier cohorts in Massachusetts like Cave In (in which Piebald guitarist-vocalist Travis Shettel briefly played bass) or youth crew outfits In My Eyes and Ten Yard Fight (the latter pair Easter egged within the records lyrics). Remastered for vinyl by Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor, Quicksand), and re-upped with liner notes and additional photos.
