Delivered at the dawn of 1980, Rushs seventh album found the Canadian prog trio conquering the airwaves with uniquely meter-twisted, yet pop-friendly FM anthems like Spirit of the Radio and Freewill. Bristling with energy, the strength of those singles merged the bands most technical tendencies with reggae playfulness and undeniable hooks, yet deeper album cuts retain the cerebral epic-ness that fueled Rushs early drive.
