The single that started it all, New York Hardcore leveled up by leaps and bounds with the release of Sick of It Alls self-titled 7-inch. The Queens quartets debut outing blitzes by with both scissor-beated, near grind-like intensity (No Lies) and surprisingly poppy street anthems (Friends Like You), but perhaps no song speaks to their legacy more than the knuckles-up bash of their instrumental battle anthem, Its Clobberin Time. Theyd re-record most of the songs for their Blood, Sweat and No Tears album, but 1987s self-titled is an important and uniquely raw part of the Sick of It All catalogue.
