The fifth LP from Quebecs Voivod is somehow the Canuck weirdoss most commercially successful effort (peaking at No. 114 on the Billboard 200), but the album is a bona fide brain-scrambler that prominently features a cover of Pink Floyds “Astronomy Domine and draws direct influence from Stravinksys Rite of Spring. Its a landmark in the world of progressive thrash-metal, and therefore one you need to own.
